Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice
I'm talking about all of the little things that make my day. It's a wide variety- a little fashion, some great places to eat, sweet treats, and some fun.
My favorite tableware is made by an Italian company called Vietri. It’s all hand painted, and quite lovely.
Since high school, I’ve loved watching the new collections come, and they are all gorgeous and timeless. I just love the serving platters and AMAZING pitchers and vases! Many are mix and match, so if you buy in complementary colors, you can have virtually unlimited options in terms of tablescapes!
Right now, I’m loving the new Christmas collection. Last year’s reindeers turned into the charming Santa Claus. (I mean, we aren’t re-inventing the wheel here, nor do we want to!)
Old St. Nick Hot Chocolate pot, $112
And Mugs, $31 each
So, my friend Cat and I are obsessed with Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives” on Food Network. Since he is from NorCal, he often goes to spots around the bay area! Lucky us!
A few weeks ago, we went to Gorilla BBQ in Pacifica!
YUM!
The pulled pork was awesome, the ribs- delicious. Loved the cornbread, and the crunchy topping on the mac and cheese WAS great!
The sauce was pretty good, too, but being from South Carolina, I like having a selection of sauces. All in all, I highly recommend it as well. You can grab the takeout and drive (virtually) across the street to sit on the beach!
Now that’s the good life!
Ok, more online sale shopping while I should be studying, but what’s a girl to do?
I totally need an event to wear this GORG low cut, open backed Versace dress that’s on sale for nearly half price!
Versace Cutout-Back Gown…. mmmm
available at www.neimanmarcus.com
And these wedges by Elizabeth and James are finally on sale! Score!
Back in Berkeley
So…. I’ve been terrible, no good, and very bad about blogging…
But I’m back, tail between my legs, ready to give it another shot.
After all, summer school is over and I need another thing to help me procrastinate! After a six week stay in LA, six weeks in summer school (doing nothing but reading and writing, mind you) rewarded me with straight A’s. Pepper in moving a two bedroom apartment to a studio and a visit from the parentals, and those grades are nothing to laugh at- especially at Cal. Another week in NYC (shopping, eating, dancing- general fabulousness), and it was back to school… complete with a flu I picked up on the plane back.
Labor day weekend was spent in Santa Fe- eating Mexican food, enjoying the landscape, and relaxing to the max.
Pics to come, lovies.
